There are various methods of horse massage, from classical through the added elements of acupressure and working on the “stress-point” points, all the way to the use of special appliances for massage. Treatments are applied usually after demanding exercises, before and after competitions or as a routine for horse fitness, both sporting and recreational. Massage is very relaxing, with touching millions of skin receptors they activate and they send signals that stimulate the formation of Endorphin, “hormone of happiness” (in the brain). At the same time massage promotes a circulation, the level of oxygen in the blood, stimulates lymph circulation, all of which significantly impacts on improving the tone of skin and muscles relaxation.
Phsyiotherapy has many benefits for our horses, whereas we use them to compete with or for recreational riding. Results of quality massages are outstanding. Verified
